During the presentation at the Benaki Museum, Yannis’ sister, Nina Psilakis, spoke about her beloved brother with deeply moving and heartfelt words that stirred the audience. Alexis Papachelas, journalist sketched the rare character and integrity of a man who commanded respect without ever seeking it. Poet and lyricist Vangelis Chronis captured the essence of his work with poetic sensitivity, while the publication’s editor, Eleni Athanasiou spoke of the challenging yet deeply moving journey of creating the publication, revealing the stories hidden behind its images and pages.

Each speech added another piece to the mosaic of a personality that touched so many people. And as the evening unfolded, it became increasingly clear that this evening was not just about a book.
