"Images from Greece and Africa" was the title of the exhibition under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the kind support of the Ioannis S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation, which took place at Zappeion Mansion, from 11.6.2008 to 22.6.2008. The photographs on display were a visual journey to familiar places of Greece and exotic places of Africa through the romantic and uncompromising lens of Yannis.

Addresses were delivered by Mrs. Dora Bakoyannis, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marina Lambraki-Plaka, Director of the National Gallery, and Mr. Vangelis Chronis, General Manager of the Latsis Group, representing the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation.

Τα έσοδα από τις πωλήσεις των φωτογραφιών και των καταλόγων της έκθεσης δωρίστηκαν από την οικογένεια του φωτογράφου, Τίτη και Νίνα Ψιλάκη - μητέρα και αδελφή του Γιάννη, στο Πατριαρχείο Αλεξανδρείας και Πάσης Αφρικής; για τους σκοπούς του Πατριαρχείου.
