Bolivia is a country in South America. It has an area of 1,098,580 km2 and a population of 11,365,333. It is administratively divided into 9 departments with its geography varying as it includes the Andes mountain range in the west and lowlands in the east as well as part of the Amazon basin. The main tribes of the country are the Aymara, the most numerous Indian tribe in South America, and the Quechua. Even today, Bolivia is the poorest country in South America.

Lake Titicaca

Lake Titicaca is located on the border of Bolivia and Peru at an altitude of 3,812 meters above sea level. It is the highest navigable lake in the world. It has a total surface area of approximately 8,400 square kilometers and its deepest point is approximately 280 meters. It extends from northwest to southeast for 190 kilometers and its widest point is 80 kilometers wide.

The lake's water is rainwater or comes from the melting of glaciers in the mountain ranges that surround it.
